EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Hi, I’m Saana, a qualified Adult and Child Counsellor. If you're feeling overwhelmed or stuck, my goal is to create a safe and supportive space for you to explore what may be impacting your life. As an Integrative Therapist, I draw on a range of approaches including Person Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Play Therapy to tailor our work to your specific needs and offer the most effective support. I also offer Mindfulness-based interventions, which can lead to positive outcomes for many mental health-based issues.

My experience includes providing voluntary support to victims of domestic abuse through Birmingham and Solihull Women’s Aid. I’m also a qualified children and young people's counsellor, and I work part-time as a school counsellor in a secondary school. In my private practice, I see both adults and children, aiming to bring the insights I've gained from supporting others—along with my own life experiences—into our therapeutic work for meaningful and lasting change.
I have supported clients facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, stress, depression, bereavement, and relationship issues, to name a few. I understand that speaking to a stranger can be intimidating, but I am committed to listening with empathy and without judgment. I am open to whatever you feel ready to share, and together, we can uncover any underlying issues that may be affecting your well-being. Sometimes, simply being heard can be incredibly powerful. I firmly believe that change is possible—even in the most difficult circumstances—and my experience has shown that with the right support, healing and growth are achievable.
