EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Taking the first step to explore therapy for yourself can be really daunting. As a therapist with over 15 years’ experience, I can provide a safe, confidential and empathic environment for us to work together, helping you explore your thoughts and feelings, supporting and enabling you to feel more empowered, help you recognise your own needs, support self-esteem and find some peace of mind and solutions. I work face to face with adults and young people over the age of 16 and can offer late afternoon/evening appointments.

As a person-centred therapist, I believe that the person-centred approach can help individuals of all ages, with a range of personal issues. Many find it an appealing type of therapy because it allows you to keep control over the content and pace of sessions, without worry that you are being evaluated or assessed in any way you are not aware of. There is a suggestion that this non-directive style of person-centred counselling can be more beneficial to people who have a strong urge to explore themselves and their feelings, and for those who want to address specific psychological habits or patterns of thinking.
