I am trained in a therapeutic approach known as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), which I use to provide assessment and treatment interventions for conditions like depression, anxiety and OCD.  I have also gained experience in working with attachment styles and family dynamics. I like to draw flexibly on 'third wave approaches' such as Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, as tailored to my client’s needs.

My personal approach is to be respectful towards the clients I am working with, whilst offering high clinical care in an emotionally attuned manner. I pride myself on working hard and being compassionate so as to support my clients in their psychological journey. I am conscious of the need to finding creative routes to adapt my work to the different learning styles clients can have.

I have special interests in Neuro-Diversity, Body Dysmorphia and Identity issues.  I have experience in working with various trauma presentations, where it is important to support clients to hold their vulnerabilities and reclaim their sense of empowerment.  I also enjoy working with relationship difficulties, addressing the psychological barriers that may be leading to communication breakdown for couples.

From 2013 I supported individuals experiencing a range of mental health presentations as a Healthcare Professional in secondary settings.  This was in the context of several services to include forensic settings, personality disorder units, in-patient acute/PICU wards, rehabilitation units and neurological/brain injury units.

From 2016, I transitioned to work in primary care settings and delivered psychological therapy/CBT in various IAPT programmes. One of the services I worked for was South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust.

From 2020, I started to work as an Accredited CBT Therapist in the private sector.  This included the Priory Hospitals chain and health care insurers such as WPA, AXA-PPP and BUPA.
