Experience and skills
I am a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. I have completed my CBT training at the University of Birmingham and have gained the knowledge, skills and competencies to deliver a high standard of evidence based psychological treatment.
I started working within mental health setting in 2010 after completing my degree in Psychology and Masters Degree in Clinical Neuropsychiatry. Since then I worked as an Assistant Psychologist in a number of settings such as Community Mental Health Teams, Assertive Outreach and Primary Care (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies- IAPT) and as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist in IAPT. Working in IAPT, meant that I have developed a passion for helping people to overcome their difficulties using cognitive behavioural aproaches. My work encompasses techniques from Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness.
I have also undertaken a supervisory training and have experience in supervising trainee CBT practitioners and psychological wellbeing practitioners.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology
Master’s Degree in Clinical Neuropsychiatry
Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

I am provisionally accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapies (BABCP)
