Clarence Firstborn
Counsellor

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

I am enjoying my private practice in the Hall Green area of Birmingham, through Solihull Well Being Clinic. During 2016-2018 while studying for my diploma I undertook clinical experience in two settings; 1) an adult educational institute where I worked with a wide range of issues but mainly stress and anxiety, 2) an anger management agency where I helped men come to terms with the vulnerable feelings they were covering with, and expressing as, anger.

I have previously worked as a special educational needs teaching assistant, supporting children with autism, attachment-based, behavioural and learning difficulties. Much of this work was located in pupil referral units (PRU’s), and special schools. I have worked for MIND and other organisations over the years as a support worker, helping  people with down’s syndrome and mental health conditions such as schizophrenia.

In my spare time, I’m also an athlete, performing artist and writer!
